Spectroscopy on Kaggle

Call all data scientists. We are hosting two Kaggle community competitions using the Open Soil Spectral Library.

Please enter and spread the word.

1) Can you build robust predictions for clay across five different MIR instruments?

2) Can geo-covariates improve predictions of soil organic carbon from a low-cost NIR scanner?https://www.kaggle.com/competitions/ss4gg-hackathon-nir-neospectra

Prizes for the top two entries in each competition are lifetime individual memberships to PeerJ.

Submission deadline is Oct 27th. Winners will be announced during one of the spectroscopy sessions at the Agronomy-Crop-Soil Science Societies of America Meeting in St. Louis.
