Please join us for our second soil spectroscopy webinar featuring Dr. Leonardo Ramirez-Lopez (Wednesday, May 5 2021, 9 am EDT). Dr. Ramirez-Lopez is head of the Data Science department at BUCHI Labortechnik AG in Switzerland. Over the past 14 years he has conducted research on infrared spectroscopy in Brazil, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland. He is devoted to sharing his developments in this field through open source software. In this regard he has developed two powerful R packages widely used in soil spectroscopy: prospectr and resemble. His main research motivation is to bring soil spectroscopy to a fully operational level. Dr. Ramirez-Lopez will present a talk titled “Getting accurate predictions from large and diverse spectral libraries”.
